My Grandmother Violet Moss Brown (born on 10th March 1900 in Trelawny) is to date, as verified by Robert Young, Senior Consultant for Gerontology - Guinness World Records as Jamaica's oldest living person and 6th oldest in the world.

She currently resides in Duanvale, Trelawny with her son Mr. Harland Fairweather, who will become the oldest living child in April 2015.

Both he and his mother will be documented in the 2016 edition of The Guinness Book of World Records.

On March 15th 2015 Violet's birthday celebration, organised by myself and my sister Mrs Lelieth Palmer, was held at Glistening Waters Restaurant & Marina.
